Starting in a licensed version, ending in a trial version

A few colleagues of mine wanted to give Storyline a try and downloaded a trial version. I created a template for them using my licensed version, then shared that with them so they could get more familiar with the tool using their own laptop and the trial version.

They can save the changes they make to the file, but when they try to re-open it, they see a message saying "FileName.story

This file is currently not available for use on this computer."

Are trial users not permitted to edit files created in licensed versions?

Hi Michael,

The trial version is a full version of the software, so there shouldn't be any difficulty with accessing files that are shared between a full licensed version of Storyline and a trial. You will want to confirm that the users are accessing the .story files from their local drive as described here.
